12 week appointment
By babyspraker » Posted Jan. 10, 2013 11:47am - 312 views - 2 comments
This morning was my 12 week appointment. I'm actually 12w4d, though doesn't matter. I was excited because my husband was going to get to hear the babies heart beat for the first time. Doctor used a doppler and it took her forever to find the heart beat. I was getting so nervous. I kept hearing mine, but not the one I waned to hear. Finally she found it! I'm hoping that I'm still just behind my pubic bone or something. Once she found it it was a good strong heart beat. What could be in the way causing her to have a hard time finding it? Otherwise she said everything was good!

Comment from stephpan » Posted Jan. 10, 2013 2:42pm I had the same issue - the nurse couldn't find the heartbeat. When the doctor came in she had me strip from the waist down and actually lifted the uterus up a little so that it was easier to find. I was so nervous! The baby might just be a little far back right now. Or the placenta may be at the front, blocking things. |
