Oh my goodness! I have gained about 18 lbs and I'm only 22 weeks! I haven't even been eating that terribly! I'm sure it doesn't help that I went from a very physical job to a desk job. But I"ve still been working out about 3 days a week for a hour each. I'm feeling huge and gross! I'm starting to freak out and become even more self conscious! I still have half of this pregnancy to go...Im going to be huge! Sorry, I'm just freaking out...A LOT! Any advice?!

Comment from nesssicle » Posted Mar. 17, 2013 9:54am i try not to think of it as IM GAINING WEIGHT. I like to think of it as THE BABY GAINING WEIGHT..hahaha i mean, i know the baby isn't 18lbs, but remember you're carrying a lot of extra fluids around too and that definitely adds up! In the end, think of it like this---on average: Where you gain the weight Blood 3 pounds Breasts 2 pounds Womb 2 pounds Baby 7.5 pounds Placenta 1.5 pounds Amniotic Fluid 2 pounds at & Protein 7 pounds Retained Water 4 pounds |
