Little scared after falling over :(

Well i'm just so lucky these days... hang on did I say lucky? I meant clumsy. Yesterday while walking into the kitchen I slipped tried to regain my balance and tripped over the vacuum. I fell onto my knees and hands after dropping my plate that I was carrying back to the sink. It feels like I broke my toes which I don't really care about. What i'm worried about is if my little bean is ok or not. There is no way of knowing as i'm far too early along to see or hear anything so I just have to take it easy and hope I don't see any bleeding. I cramped slightly yesterday but that seems to have gone.

On another note I had been doing some research on how to give my baby the best chance of surviving and came across this thing about vitamin B6 being good for helping to promote the bodies natural production of progesterone. So I went to a health food store and spoke to the women about getting a Vitamin B6 supplement and told her i'm already on Elevit so she hands me a Mega B supplement and said Elevit is the inferior prenatal and I should go for a Blackmores gold prenatal when I finish this lot of Elevit. (Apparently the chemists are sponsored to push the Elevit). So I take her advice and buy the Mega B. When I got home I had this urky feeling in my gut that said to research it more so I did. I turns out that if I had indeed listened to the the woman I would have overdosed on Vit B WTF!? Even though it is water soluble and needs to be replenished every day the average preggo woman only needs like one tenth of what is in this Mega B complex! So yes I guess that was a waste of 20 bucks :( I have decided to get my extra B6 through food now lol... I have worked out that if I eat my kids chocolate ball cereal which is fortified with vitamins and minerals most importantly the B6, then some avocado and sunflower seeds in my lunch time salad along with my prenatal then I will be getting just above the recommended dose and should be kept in the safe area of Vitamin B consumption. Sheesh what a headache I cause for myself :S But well worth it if I get a healthy little baby at the end of all this.

Thanks good to know i'm on the best stuff haha. We pay allot of money for our prenatal's so I expect to get what I'm paying for. You must love having a husband who is a dr to help put your mind at ease whenever you need it! Lucky woman :)

How annoying for you! Also, Elevit is definitely the better prenatal. I was on blackmores pre-conception, and I read that post conception you should up your folate to 600mg per day, which Blackmores does not provide, but Elevit does. Also, my husband, who is a doctor, recommended Elevit over Blackmores. I'm sure everything is going to be fine with you falling over. Just take it easy over the next few days. Hope you're feeling better :)
