5 weeks!

I am 5 weeks today! I can't believe my baby's heart will start beating this week (or next)! It's still hard to believe a little baby is growing in me!

So far, no symptoms. Seriously, I feel perfectly normal. There are just a couple things that are different. One is that I have to pee much more often (seriously, it's a bit ridiculous... I had to get up twice in the middle of the night last night! Though usually it's just been once a night). Besides the couple days of awful bloating last week, that hasn't happened again (thank god!). For the most part I've been eating smaller meals, but pretty much snacking all day long. I went grocery shopping last week and when I was in the check-out line I texted my husband "Who let the pregnant chick go shopping?" I had a cart FULL of snacks! I'm usually not much of a snacker, but it's working out pretty good to have a few snacks during the day and then eat smaller meals.

One thing that I have noticed is after I eat a semi-large meal, my belly sticks out ridiculously far! I'm pretty slim, so I guess with my expanding uterus my belly doesn't have anywhere to go when it's full but out. It's kind of funny! I look like I'm several months pregnant after a big meal!

Also, I think my breast are possibly a tiny bit larger... but jury's still out on that one... :(

Overall I'm happy and feeling great, and I'm excited to have reached 5 weeks! Looking forward to reaching 6 weeks and beyond!

I love the "pregnant chick" text. Sounds just like me and my husband. Although, the "pretty slim" part does not! Ha ha!

I too am right around the corner from a heart beat. It's so excited and nerve wrecking! I can't wait to feel like this whole thing is confirmed and I'm not just dreaming.

Best of luck to you in the next 7 days!
