Q: Marijuana & Pregnancy

I went for my first prenatal appointment, and for whatever reason they did a drug panel with my blood work. I smoked marijuana one time about 6 weeks ago (the day before I found out i was pregnant) I am now 9 weeks and 1 day pregnant. I tested positive for marijuana...I know my baby will be ok because it was only one time, my question is will they test me every single time I go to an OB appt? I mean it's fine if they do, I just don't like being treated like a "Drug addict" they even put in my notes that I'm a "Cannabis addict" I am so furious

Yes i am being completely honest...I mean i do come in contact with 2nd hand smoke very often...also my blood results said the levels of THC was 5ng/ml which seems very low considering that a urine test is negative unless its above 50ng/ml

Are you being completely honest? Even if you had been a long time user, it would have been out of your system within 8 weeks or so.

You do know that stuff doesn't stay in your system that long, right? And yes they will test every time and probably monitor you after the baby is born as well.
