Really what you should eat when expecting is the same as what you should eat when your not :)
Lots of fruit and vegetables, whole grains and fibre, lean protien or alternatives. They say to try to have three colors of vegetables at your meals, so you could do carrots, broccoli and red pepper with chicken breast for example. Good luck :)

I got a book I think it is, "What to Eat When You're Expecting" (it's by the same people who wrote "What to Expect When You're Expecting") and it has some good tips and information in it.

for breakfast,I like oatmeal with blueberries and strawberries in it or scrambled egg whites with turkey bacon and piece of toast. Lunch is usually some kind of sandwich or left overs from dinner for me. snacks, any kind of fruit we may have, maybe some crackers with peanut butter or cheese on them or a granola bar. Dinner, just depends salad with chicken breast, I use ground turkey in place of hamburger or sometime mix it to get more of a hamburger flavor,I try to fix meals that cover all the food groups make sure I have a lot of veggies. stir fry is good for getting a lot of veggies covering a lot of food groups but is high in sodium, also buy whole grain breads and pasta because they are better for you.
