My one hour was high so I went back for my three hour and it came out fine. No diabetes here. The paper they gave me about the three our said less than 3% of women who have to go back to the three hour actually have diabetes. I haven't verified this with anyone but it gave me hope. Good luck!!!

I failed my 1 hour with all my babies, all 4 of them, I had to do the 3 hr test everytime. It is exhausting and I got very weak. They didnt let me eat or drink after midnight, then went in and took my blood and urine, and every 30 min for 3 hrs (so 6 times) took my blood and urine. I literally started shaking and almost passed out in the waiting area and My Dr seen me and demanded that the nurses find me food! I passed the 3 hr but it was awful.

Take a carb snack to eat when you are done with the test. I didn't and almost passed out on the drive home. I ended up with borderline results during my first pregnancy and was treated as a gestational diebetic. I'm in my second pregnancy and after failing the 1 hour test, I declined the 3 hour test this time. I agree with taking something to do. It gets pretty boring.

I failed my test. I have to check my blood with a metor 4 times a day and log it. I had to see a nutritionist so they could give me a diet to follow. Sometimes they can control GD with a diet. I followed the diet the nutritionist gave me, lost 7 pounds, but it just wasn't enough. I'm now on Glyburide 1x a day at supper time. Hopefully you will pass the test or will be able to control it with a diet. My doctor says my number are not to bad, just border line and she is watching them very closely to see if she needs to up my meds. I had to go in every week for her to see the numbers and just this last time she said I could come in every 2 weeks. When you go in for your test, take something to do. It's a long time. You can only drink water while your there and can't eat anything. I took my computer and hooked up to the hospital wifi. So take a portable dvd player or a computer if you have a laptop, book or something. Good luck!Feel free to message me if you have any questions. :)
