Q: Does anyone have a sore vagina? or have dilated past 1cm at 6 months?

Its not too painful but I do feel it,mainly when I wipe (TMI sorry). It was worrying me & so today I checked my cervix (yes,I wore gloves) & realized I was dilated. I've never felt it that open before so I knew that when my index finger fit in their that I was at a 1 & more since their was room around my finger. I so don't want to call my doctor because hes a bit of worrier & if I say I checked my cervix he might flip out, but then again if I don't say anything then something might be wrong & get worse if I don't get it checked out. whats your thoughts on this?

Hey, i know your pain all too well. With me, its the extra blood flow to the area caused by my little darling pressing on my bladder....bless!! But it may also be a result of infection ie thrush. Have you noticed any significant changes to your discharge, ie texture, colour, smell??

As regards to the checking dilation, try your best not to, its very like the reason you can place a finger there is because your mucus plug has come away, and despite you wearing gloves, infection can still get in...better to air on the side of caution.

I would call your doctor for sure. If you feel anything is a bit unusual you should call asap. It is always good to get things checked out. Go with your gut feeling. The docs. have seen and heard it all. :)
