Q: 17 weeks will be 18 in 3 days....I dont feel the baby move much at all...

So I am 17 weeks and 4 days...I have felt the baby move here and there (flutters)....but for the past week, I dont feel anything really...like not even a flutter. And with my first pregnancy I felt my son move just about every day, the flutters didnt stop for weeks at a time they went on at least once a day...So my question is, Is this normal?? It's starting to really worry me :-/

Hiya... I only just felt my baby move the other day (just over 17wks) and it is quite few n far between at the moment but if you are worried then try to feel for movement when u get into bed at night and if you roll over onto your side etc...thats when I feel it the most, and also on the sofa at night when Im watching tv lol... fi you are still worried then go to see ur dr but I would take a guess that u are just not feeling much because it is early on for flutters and a lot of people dont feel them till 20wks anyway, so dont panick hun...good luck xx

I felt bubs move @ 16 week's even though I expected it a lot earlier as it's my second. I'm now 26+1 and still hardly feel anything at all. He will move if I'm trying to sleep but that's about it.

My first son was crazy in my belly kicking all the time, and when he was born was really hard work crying alot. I'm hoping this baby is more chilled out!

It's really worrying when they don't move alot but I'm sure your baby is just relaxed in there and from what I've heard it's completely normal to sometimes not feel anything. HH9M's!

With my first baby I felt the first flutters at week 16 then around week 20 I was able to see from outside the kicks....I expected with that second pregnancy to start to feel the flutters early...So I felt it once at week 14 then once at week 17 and the next was a week ago (21weeks)...Now I feel the movements regularly every day....But in my 20 weeks scan they told me I have placenta anterior ....So the placenta is situated on the front ..so is more likely to start feeling the baby movements late

If it makes you feel better, ask for an ultra sound but honestly, I wouldn't worry. My placenta was forward facing (right beneath my belly button) so I didn't feel anything til 20.5 weeks with my first child. It's most likely that your first child's placenta was attached toward your back and thats why you felt him more. You're not even 18 weeks yet... give it a couple more weeks and you'll feel him all the time.
