Right before i found out i was pregnant, i couldnt eat anything at all and it was a chore to put any food (or drink for that matter) in my mouth... that lasted for a week or so then the sickness came on... if you dont get sick, thats ok too. Some women get morning sickness and some dont. Everyone is different. Good luck!

I didn't get morning sickness until I was 8 weeks. Then it lasted until I was around 20 weeks....so enjoy not having it!!!! I had to keep eating so I wouldn't get nauseous. I hope you stay feeling good!

Sounds normal i think - a few weeks into my pregnancy i also had decreased appetite and i actually lots a few kilograms over a few weeks because i didn't eat at much as usual. But my appetite did come back later. And it's normal to NOT have morning sickness / vomiting - remember everyone has different symptoms. :) I never had real morning sickness and i had NO vomiting at all, but i did feel very queezy for a long time.

I'm 18 weeks and haven't gotten any morning sickness. I agree with PP, it's good that you're making yourself eat anyway. I've found that recently I get full faster than I normally would. I read that your body is going to give the baby what it needs first and then you get what's leftover, so your baby should be getting everything it needs. Like the PP said, just keep taking your vitamins and drink plenty of fluids!!

How far along are you? A lot of women don't get morning sickness at all, and those that do may not get it until they're 7 or 8 weeks. I think the most common time for it to start is right around 6 weeks, but I didn't have any nausea until I was about 6w6d. Up until that point I felt great. As for the lack of appetite, I think that's pretty normal but it's good that you're trying to eat anyway. I've been told that a baby's nutritional needs from your food are pretty limited during the first trimester so as long as you're taking prenatal vitamins and drinking plenty of fluids you should be ok.

I was worried because all I could keep down for a while was pretzels and goldfish crackers but my doctor said just to make sure I was drinking enough fluids and taking my vitamins and not to worry about eating a balanced diet right now. That becomes more important later in the pregnancy apparently. Feel better!
