Aww well i know tech probably feels much better guessing at 16-20wks but im exciting for the guess even if its wrong. At my high risk office she wouldnt guess last time but im hoping at 14wks she will.and then look again at 16 & 20 to confirm. Im ok if she is wrong. Just would like a guess for my journal amd for the fun! :) by 20weeks.is.when ill.start buyin stuff!

Sixteen weeks. Some ultersound techs wont tell u until ur about 16-20 weeks cause you are more able to define the gender.

With my first child I found out at my 12 weeks scan , and confirmed at 20 weeks. But with that second pregnancy I went to a private scan just to check the baby gender at week 16+4 and they said 80% GIRL...., then at my 20 weeks scan we understood that actually we are expecting 100% BOY

21 weeks and still waiting. Baby won't let us know. We go again Monday...but I am not putting much hope into it...this baby is stubborn!

It all depends. They couldn't tell at my 12 week scan, and when I went at 16 weeks I wasn't scheduled for an u/s. They said we'd have to wait until the 20 week anatomy scan. Well, we didn't want to wait so paid for a gender scan and found out it was a boy at 16 weeks. I also think it depends on the gender. boys are much easier to tell 100% whereas girls it can be harder to tell. Good luck!

I've heard that if the baby is positioned at the right angle, they can start to tell around 13 weeks and the certainty just gets higher as the weeks go by after that. If your baby is cooperative and your tech is willing to try to look, you should be able to get a reasonable guess. I went for my NT scan at just under 13 weeks and the tech tried to look but the baby's legs were crossed. She said she's much more confident waiting until at least 16 weeks to try, but she can sometimes get a good look earlier.

I guess it just depends on your ultrasound tech and if your baby feels like spreading his/her legs for the camera! Good luck!
