Q: Anyone been told they have a polyp?

I have been spotting since week 4 of my pregnancy (now 9+4 weeks) and today at my appt was told that i have a polyp on my cervix (benign) which could be the cause of the spotting! Anyone else go through this?

I had a pea size polyp with this pregnancy. It was at the front of my uterus and doctor was able to remove it in office at 8 weeks. I had no issues after. Polyps are not as bad as fibroids and other than spotting should not affect your pregnancy. I would talk to your OB/Doctor if you have concerns.

I don't know the difference between an polyp and a cyst, but with my first pregnancy I was told I had a small cyst on my cervix that caused spotting at weeks 6 and 9. It didn't cause any complications and my pregnancy progressed perfectly fine. I hope yours does too!
