I'm at the very beginning of my 3rd pregnancy. I weigh 243 and my dr said all I have to do is eat healthy and exercise and I should not have anything to worry about. I had the same issue with my 2nd pregnancy and I did exactly the same. I gained around 25lbs and I lost all of that weight throughout the 6weeks postpartum.

Update Blossome....went to doc yesterday & the only recommendation was that I not gain more than 20 lbs. Also to only increase my calorie intake by 150 cals a day. But I am not carrying twins I am sure that will make a difference. I am using the food pyramid the us gov does for pregnancy. It lists the amounts you should have of fruits, vegs, etc. I am trying to have a fruit with breakfast and a fruit and a vegetable with lunch and dinner. Often if I have a splurge for lunch I will have a large salad with lots of veggies and some grilled chicken and low calorie dressing. The other thing i do is MAKE myself walk 30 minutes a day. It is so freaking hard when all i want to do is crawl in the bed when I get home from work but I have managed to get it in most days. We will see what it is when I go back in 2 weeks for a follow up. I was 298 on the scale at the doc the other day but was 293 on the one at home that morning when I weighed first thing in the morning. Hang in there!

Not sure Blossome but I was 292 before I got pregannt. I am still not due for my first doctor's appointment for another week but when I made the appointment the receptionist told me they would probably send me for a consult with a nutritionist. All in all I would worry more about eating the best healthy foods and avoiding the junk. If you are very concerned talk with your doc and see if they can send you to a nutritionist to discuss diet. But honestly 17 pounds when you are carrying twins is not too bad. Hang in there...if my doc gives me any helpful tips I will post them here for you....
