Wondering how hcg levels play into this? My first one was 80 and three days later it was 455.

Do twins run in your family? If not, your chances are about 3% so you odds are super slim but still possible. The odds of course go up with age, particularly over 40. You will find mixed opinions on this matter simply because many women have experienced more intense symptoms with their second or third pregnancies and were only pregnant with a singleton. On the flip side, some women barely feel pregnant and end up having twins so it just goes to show that there isn't a real way of knowing before a scan. As for flutters, the baby or babies are only an inch in length so as much as I know women hate to hear this lol, it would be impossible to feel flutters from the baby(ies). Just from the baby though, you can still feel flutters from a bunch of other things going on in your uterus so I'm not suggesting at all that what you are feeling isn't pregnancy related. I would get an ultrasound now to put my mind to rest but I'm super impatient lol.
