Q: Twins & Placenta Previa--Is 11w2d too early to have symptoms of placenta previa?

I'm just over 11w with twins and began spotting yesterday and have had light bright red bleeding with no cramping for over 24 hours now. Has this happened to you and everything was ok? Bleeding is terrifying in pregnancy, but we're hoping the babies are fine. Could it be placenta previa?? I can't find much on the onset of placenta previa with twins since most information on this concerns singletons in the second trimester.

My midwife is checking in on me every couple hours. I have decided to take the next few days off work and rest and wait and pray. I have an ultrasound tomorrow afternoon. Will post an update. Any help or info would be appreciated for now!

I thank all of your for your thoughts and input. Light bleeding turned into heavy bleeding and we lost our twins one at a time today. :( Heaven has two more precious little angels.

I have previa but have not had any symptoms so I am of no help there. However, I have researched the crap out of it and it can often be the cause of some bleeding. It's not usually a huge deal until later on and the majority of the time will resolve itself (move away from the cervix) as time goes on. A little bleeding is normal and often expected. Don't panic yet as it could be so many things. I will definitely pray that everything will be okay for you and your little ones. Also keep in mind that a huge chunk of women have at least partial or complete previa before 12 weeks and don't even know it so I'm sure everything will be fine. Keep us updated!
