Q: Seriously starting to stress.... Advice needed please

Hi ladies, I am seriously stressing and getting worried now. I am coming into 20week and I have my scan next Tuesday, I am not too concerned about it as I have felt the odd flutter etc.

The stressful bit is we have just bought a house together, I am so stressing over how I'm going to afford everything for house and baby, I am so bad with my money it's unreal. I just seem to spend it on a lot of bills already never mind more coming my way with house.

has anyone any tips or advice on what I should do to try save or any tips on shopping for a baby?

Focus on what you actually need-most baby "essentials" go unused and untouched!! Read about breastfeeding and consider making a good effort at it-breast milk is not only designed for your baby but also free (a good resource is The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding)! We have been to multiple consignment shops and go regularly-you can find great prices on barely worn clothes. You only need a few for the first few months as they grow out of them so fast! You can also find some gear consignment like changing tables or furniture or baby carriers. Also, ,remember you can save stuff like high chairs for later after baby is born since they won't be using it right away. Same thing with a crib if you plan to co-sleep. You may be surprised at the things you thought you'd need or want that you end up realizing "ne

Aw thanks, we don't do showers over here lovely idea though, people just buy us bits and pieces after baby born. I'm paying everything as best I can as well as trying to save and help partner with bits and pieces for house, think it will b hard for first few months.

Consignment shops. Also, newborns need very little. Most of the stuff we buy are not necessary - just nice to have. When you register for your shower, ask for things that you really need, not just cutesy stuff. Also, between now & the birth pay off as much debt, bills as possible.
