Q: How close together is far enough apart? Wanting to have another! Opinions/experiences welcome!

My son just turned one month old today, and my husband and I are wanting to start trying to have another baby in December. I had a c section with my son, but I recovered so fast!! I stopped being sore 1 week after, and lochia has stopped now. My husband and I feel ready, but we're giving my body another couple months, also because we don't want a summer baby due to work situations. What are you ladies experiences with being close in a age to siblings, or having close little ones?? Obviously we wont do it if my dr says it's dangerous, but assuming he gives us the okay...What do you think??

I have 2 boys, 19 months apart, they are inseparable. Absolutely best friends! We are newly pregnant with our third which will be born about a month before our (current) youngest 3rd birthday. ...hoping for a girl this time around (ultimately healthy is all we want)!

my sister in law told me your suppose to wait two years in between c sections. She's due two week after me and is having her third c section. My first two are 15 months apart, my second and this one will be 16 months (if he stays in long enough *pre term labor*). My oldest two are best friends.

I fell pregnant with number 2 only 3 months after my daughter was born, and I'm 17 weeks now, I had a induced 'natural labour' tho so I guess I healed quick. My doctor gave us the to ahead. I figured once I got back to my pre preg weight then that's when I wld be ok to start trying again. :-)

I got pregnant with number 2 when my son was 7 months old...I would wait at least 6 months before trying after a csection.

They normally recommend 18-24 months between c sections. You really need to ensure that the uterus has healed properly. I had a c section with my daughter 28 months ago & am almost 19 weeks pregnant with my second. Some days, my scar HURTS so it is def being pulled on as my uterus stretches. If your Dr is OK with it, the rest is up to you.

I think you should discuss this with your doctor. If you get pregnant too soon it would seem you might risk your uterus not being fully healed and ready to stretch out again. I have no idea, but I'd definitely want to clear that so you don't end up in a really bad situation when you do get pregnant again. If your doctor says ok, it's really between you and your husband. Siblings and how the interact does depend on age but also on so many other things, like personality, that you can't really plan for "peace" by spacing your kids apart a certain way so I wouldn't worry much about that.
