I think if you feel up to it and your doctor okays it, it's fine to go back to your runs and possibly even do the 10k if you feel good enough when it happens. I ran before I got pregnant, stopped until about 17 weeks (because I felt awful until then) and then re-started my routine after that and ran a 5k around week 28. I ran super super slowly, but I was able to keep it up until 31 weeks. At that point, I just started feeling my muscles ache in that area, so I felt like i should stop. Even then, my doctor said there was nothing to worry about, just discomfort from ligaments stretching, etc. Good luck!

That is def something you want to take up with your doctor. Demi Moore was doing backflips when she was about ready to pop. But I certainly at 17 weeks do not feel like doing anything remotely physical because my joints are so loose I'm afraid I'd fall on my face I have been tripping over everything not only that my hips are very sore as is my back. It doesn't take much for me to get out of breath when I walk now because my uterus is starting to take up space and my lungs are starting to get their capacity cut off. But hey if doc gives you the okay more power to ya and good luck let me know what you finish at.
