my entire pregnancy i ate junk food and candy all the time i literally carried 4 or 5 kinds of candy around with me at all times lol my son was born perfect and healthy in every way and not once did i have complications because of my eating habits through my entire pregnancy :) as long as you dont have gestational diabetes you are fine to eat whatever makes you happy

Eating a lot of junk food is bad for the baby and for yourself. You ask what you should do? Well, stop eating a lot of junk food lol It's a no brainer. I go on sparkpeople.com to find healthy recipes. Just stay away from eating too much junk food. Simple as that <3 You can treat yourself every now and then. Think about your health and your baby and remember to take your prenatal vitamins.

Eating a lot of junk food isn't good in general but I know I struggle with that. Not so much this pregnancy since I hate all food. However, I try to make healthy substitutes. Make a fruit smoothie with a mild tasting veggie in it to ease your sweet tooth (I use kale). You could eat yogurt and add stuff like granular or fruit. If you like salty stuff like chips you could make baked potato chips at home. Look up some recipes online. You can eat a little junk food every now and then. Just make sure you are getting all the good foods in as well.

You're welcome. Believe me, every time I walk by the oreos at the grocery store it is a battle not to put them in the cart. :) I have a sweet tooth but I have found grapes and melon will satisfy it and I feel better about that than candy. If I do want cake or cookies I make them at home and try to find healthier recipes or whole wheat/whole grain versions.

Yogurt is good...especially the greek kind with high protein. Just watch for high sugar brands. It is important not to think the prenatal is insurance for poor eating-your baby needs lots of protein and your body needs lots of fiber and good energy. Sometimes you have to just suck it up and make the better choices even if they don't sound good-do not buy junk food and keep it in your house. Buy healthy snacks like cheese, yogurt, easy to eat fruits and veggies, etc. Then when you are hungry you will resort to eating those because it's what you have and you won't fall back on the junk food.

What kind of food do you eat?

Take a prenatal vitamin perhaps ( i have pregnacare original, though not daily, just every few days) and start adding some soups for vitamins to your diet and veggies.

Carbs are needed as is protein. I'm veggie so get this from soya, eggs, cheese and pastas etc.

I have an innocent smoothie so i can have abit of fruit at one time as i'm not fond of eating fruit individually.

I eat more chocolates since being pregnant, but try to avoid getting them in the house so they are no accessible. Same with any other foods I think are more unhealthy.

Best of luck x
