Q: Applications while pregnant?

Is it worth filling out applications while pregnant? My husband says he don't want me to work till after baby comes, but I feel the need to fill out applications, we aren't desperate for money, it will just give me something to do, and will make me feel better if I'm working and saving for baby. 15 w preg.

Also, if you need something to do, you could find some volunteer work to do. Help out in your church's office (if you have a church), find a high-end assisted living facility that needs people to go on outings with the residents (great way to have free meals and shows and museum trips paid for and only a small amount of work on your part), whatever you're interested in....go do it! Have fun!

Thank you! I was thinking the same thing, my husband is wanting me to just sit back and relax and enjoy the pregnancy. He said 'let me work and pay the bills, don't worry about anything, everything will be taken care of'. So, I guess that's just what I am going to do. Like you said maybe find some things to home make and sell and make some extra money, and make the free time/boredom disappear. :)

I felt the same way when I was pregnant with my first but I soon found out that since I was pregnant no one wanted to hire me to just have me leave some months later. Alot of places also see a pregnant woman and think of complications in the work place and maternity leave that they dont want to pay for. overall it was hell trying to find a job, but at the end I was grateful because once I hit that third trimester I was so big and awkward that I wouldnt have been wanting to work anywhere. I'd say its definitely up to you, but if you have this free time to spend getting to know your body and your baby better, I think its well worth it. I did alot of other things, like make homemade products and stuff for the baby at home and went on walks.
