Q: Should I be concerned

Is it a bad thing that I haven't really gained that much weight since I got pregnant... With my first I gained weight right when I started my second trimester... Well I am 18 weeks and 3 days and I haven't gained that much weight with this one... I was just making sure it is normal?

I'm 22 weeks along and I've lost a net of 8 lbs. I just had my monthly check up yesterday and this was the first time I actually had gained weight (2lbs). I am overweight, and doc doesn't seem too concerned. Baby is very healthy and active!

It's normal. Every woman and pregnancy is different. I didn't see any real weight gain until the third trimester, and even then it's been minimal. I lost weight in the first trimester as well, so it's even less when I factor that in. Just focus on eating nutritious food and let your body/baby decide what to do with it.

I only gained 4lbs by that point. First time mom here btw I'm not sure that it really makes a difference though lol. Seems like it's different for everyone, and even in different pregnancies with the same person =) You can check out my weight gain graph on my profile if you'd like, I think it's all public =) Between 18 and 22 weeks is when I started finally gaining weight and I'm now just about 36 weeks along and have gained 23lbs total

Every pregnancy is different! My sister in law literally gained no weight at all. She is overweight, but she was eating more than before and my nephew is perfect! I on the other hand am terrified of gaining too much again. I would have to say if you're eating a little more than usual .....and more healthy than not that every thing is good. Also, if your doctor isn't concerned than you should be alright.
