Q: How many weeks were you when you got your first ultrasound?

Some people get a dating ultrasound between 6-7 weeks. Curious when most go?

I had one at 6w5d but only because I was bleeding. Then an IPS ultrasound at 13.5 weeks (it's a test offered in Ontario there they screen for chromosomal issues such as downs syndrome and trisomy). I'll have my anatomy ultrasound at 18w4d.

My RE's standard procedure was 7 weeks because most RE patients need/want that reassurance that things are progressing well, but if I hadn't gone to the RE my doc would not have done one until 20 weeks! If you are insistent you can usually get one earlier even if you have to pay for it. Since you had an MC before they might be willing to give you an earlier one for your peace of mind. Congrats! :)

I had my first scan at 7w4d. Healthy pregnancy and no issues, my doctor just wanted a dating ultrasound.

With my 1st I was 7w4d but they scheduled my appt earlier because I wasn't sure about my lmp. This time I'll be closer to 9weeks because they usually want to do them Between 8 and 10 weeks here

I was 6 weeks when I had one done but it was an emergency scan. I went to the hospital because I thought I was seriously ill. Otherwise I wouldn't have had my actual first scan with my OB until 8 weeks

6 weeks 4 days. But I had an IUI, so the RE's office did the US. My first US with my OB was 8 weeks. An OB usually won't see you before that. Good luck!!

I went in at 6 weeks and heard my baby's heartbeat! Also went in today at 8 weeks. If you tend to worry a lot (like I do) then you shouldn't feel bad about asking for an earlier appointment!
