Q: Told I am "More Ugly"

Just a rant about how rude people are while you're pregnant and think they can say whatever they want to.

Today, a coworker said I "must be having a boy, because I'm more ugly".

First of all, does that imply they think I was ugly before? And who the hell thinks it's ok to say something like that.

Not saying this particular comment bothered me much, but just more bothered by the amount of rude comments I've had to tolerate.

The end.

Don't even get me started on this! A coworker of mine feels it necessary to comment on everything I eat, making sarcastic comments all of the time. Before I was pregnant I used to have my sandwiches and a bag of crisps at lunch and usually some sweets at some point. Now I occasionally have some toast in the morning, my sandwich at lunch and now and again I have a donut or something sweet. So hardly anything extra but she still feels the need to comment on the "amount" I'm eating!

I just keep telling myself she's jealous of the fact I'm 8 months pregnant and still smaller than her lol! Some people are just so rude! At least you can blame the hormones if you end up yelling in a fit of rage haha! X

Today the owner where I work said "your belly is getting bigger than your butt". Couple weeks ago he came and whispered in my ear "are your boobs getting bigger". When I replied "well that is a part of pregnancy" he said "I was just lookin at ya thinking you're getting quite busty". The man is almost 80. Gross! I am now always uncomfy around him. Some people don't think or care about what they say unfortunately.

I hear that! I have been enduring nonstop comments about how tired I look, how big my belly is and how my nose looks 'different' not necessarily bigger but different! ummm thanks?!?! The icing on the cake was when I got up from the table at a restaurant the other day and am man goes, oh wow. Wow, I am the most beautiful thing you've ever seen? lol
People think pregnancy is fair game to say whatever the hell you want. It's unfair but what can you do? I really want to retaliate with comments like oh, my belly is big? Well you are just fat/ugly, etc!!!

Hang in there! You are not alone.

The funny part is, I think the terrible grammar was more offensive than the comment!

I don't know what it is about pregnancy that makes people think it is fair game to make certain comments or observations! Like everyone just gets some free pass to make statements like that or touch someone's belly.
