Eryk Allister's Birth Story

Due to rising blood pressure, my labour was induced a week ahead of my due date. Labour started a few hours after the induction and we headed back to the hospital around 9am. The initial contractions were very painful so I was thankful for the epidural. After that, it was mostly waiting until 7:30-8pm when I started pushing. There was a bit of an issue with a septum slightly blocking my cervix and eventually it was snipped to help the head come out easier. Other then that, there were no complications and Eryk was born at almost 11pm. There was a bit of bleeding afterwards but I was stitched up and by 2am, we were out of the labour room and into the regular room to rest and recuperate.
