So far, so good!

Everything continues to look good according to the numbers! My betas have continued to double at a pretty fast rate! Last Friday, 4/1, they came back at 2946 and today, 4/6, they came back at 15,416!! That's a doubling time of 50 hours, which is REALLY quick for levels that high. My husband keeps making jokes about twins. Haha, funny but not funny! I have enough pregnancy complications to worry about without the twin factor.

I go to Chicago for my first ultrasound on Monday, April 11th!! Can't wait!! I now wish I had scheduled it a bit sooner seeing how high my levels are! With Elle, I had an u/s two days after my levels came back at 7,000 and saw her heartbeat. :) I realize every pregnancy is different, but since this cycle was so wonky I honestly am not confident on when I ovulated and know there could easily be a 3-4 day difference. Can't wait for Monday!!

My med routine has been going pretty well, with the exception of one really odd thing. Last Saturday after my husband did my progesterone in oil injection I started having A LOT of soreness in my butt cheek a few hours later. It got worse as the day progressed and soon made walking, sitting, etc. very painful. I was pretty sure my husband thought I was whining unnecessarily about it so I asked him to look at the injection site. It was a GIANT red circle the size of a softball. He quickly changed his tune and said we should keep an eye on it. I used a heating pad that night and when I woke up it felt completely normal. It hasn't happened since, thankfully.

The infusions are scheduled weekly until my immunologist says to make a change. I've totally come to accept that this is what I have to do. It's not ideal, but we do what we need to do, right!? I'm very fortunate that I have a job where I can work from anywhere -- including the infusion chair at the hospital. :)

This weekend is my baby girl's first birthday party! Her actual bday is April 14. :) I cannot believe that she is almost a year old already. Where has the time gone?! We're having family and a few friends over. Nothing crazy, but definitely looking forward to seeing what Elle does with her mini cake. The girl loves food so it could be interesting!

Happy Birthday Elle! If it were to be twins, it would be scary as hell but it all works out! I say your great numbers just mean you have a very sticky one! I don't think my levels were crazy high but I never had more than one draw (1700 at 4 weeks, 2 days).

Haha, I definitely had the twins thought too, I know that was the case when my numbers were so high with Nina. But I totally get what you mean about already having enough complications, I'm keeping my fingers crossed so tight for a happy, healthy little bean for you!

Such great news, my Beta levels have always been crazy high with both pregnancies so I would take it as a positive sign but twins with a toddler would be hard!!

Yay! So happy everything is going well and OMG my first thought when I saw your numbers was "I wonder if it is twins?" . Now I will really be anxious to see your update after your u/s on Monday! Aww...I can't believe your baby girl is going to be one all ready! Time really does fly, doesn't it? :)
