Well, my Dr really called that one. Shortly after i posted my journal entry on the 18th, i layed down for a nap...suddenly i felt some liquid start flowing out of me, and i thought my water had broke. I called my husband to tell him and to find out if he was on his way home from work. Finally, when i got out of bed, i realized my water hadnt broken...it was blood...bright red blood and tons of it. I would not stop flowing and i wasnt sure what to do. I called my Dr and couldnt get through, i called my parents and my dad sent my mom over right away. Meanwhile, i called my husband to tell him i was hemorrhaging and that we had to go to the closest hospital ASAP. I was pacing my apartment, trying to stop the blood with towels..i soaked through 2 large bath towels, not to mention the blood trails and puddles all over almost every room in my apartment. When my mom showed up she did her best to try not to act scared from seeing all the blood. Thankfully, the hospital was only 1 minute away and i ran straight into the emergency room an was taken to L&D Right away, leaving a trail of blood behind me. The delivery room floor was covered in blood, the nurses that came in were shocked it seemed like. All i wanted was to know that my baby was okay and that my husband would be there. My mom kept trying to reassure me that everything was fine....Finally they hooked up the monitors to my belly and we heard the heart beat. It didnt register with me first, i was so scared...when i finally realized what it was i was relieved. The Dr told me i had to have an emergency c-section because i had a placental abruption. He said that usually if youre further dialated (at least 8cm) they let you try to deliver naturally, but because i was only 3cm, they had to get the baby out ASAP. This scared me half to death because it was the last thing i ever wanted. My husband showed up shortly, and my Dr soon after and i was whisked away surgery. After 3 minutes passed from getting my epidural, they started to cut me open and my mind was racing. It felt like a whirlwind and 10 minutes later i hear the sweetest cry of my baby. ITS A BABY! they said...my husband was like A BABY WHAT?! ....A BABY BOY! i cried, and he was so happy! I didnt get to see him right away, they had him behind me checking him out...turns out he swallowed some blood, but he was okay in the end. I lost 500ml of blood during the whole ordeal...it was a shocker how he came into this world, but im so happy he's here!
