Crib is re-ordered.

Finally! Seemed like we were never going to get the thing ordered again after the first one we picked out came all messed up. I reaaaaally hope this one is delivered in mint condition! I can't wait to get the crib all put together and see how cute the bedding looks on it! We didn't order the mattress yet, so I think we're probably gonna go look at some and pick one out. Any suggestions on mattresses that you just love? I'm also looking at getting a crib wedge to just barely elevate the head to help reduce acid reflux and elevate baby's head for better breathing and digestion. My mom used one with all of us, so I think it's something worth trying. They are under $20, so why not.

Looks like a couple months after the baby comes we may be moving out of this place we just moved into and staying with my husband's dad for a little while. Just to help reduce our monthly bills so we can get some stuff paid off and save up some money to put towards a down payment on a house. The place we just moved to about a month ago is already turning out to be a mistake. The landlord, which is my "friend's" dad, is a total pain in the ass, and is totally hard to deal with. He's such a tight ass and gives you a hard time about everything. We are just sick of dealing with it. So we've requested to have our lease changed to a month-to-month lease, instead of a year to try to avoid owing them rent for the remainder of the lease when we leave. Really hoping they agree to let us change. It has been 4 days, I have not heard back from him. His response was that he had to think on it and he would let me know. Ugh. Either way he comes back, I feel like we have no choice but to move out anyways and deal with it later, because we seem to be drowning in bills and debt right now. Plus, having me off work for 2ish months without pay is really going to break the camel's back. It's definitely not what I want to do with a 2 month old, but it would really help us get back on track and get in a better place, financially. Plus, who could pass up free daycare/babysitting? :P

**Edit** I added a picture of the crib we got. I originally wanted a high-back crib with the front side lower, but ended up going with this one because we thought it looked unique and different with the curved sides. It's convertible, too, so it will be a daybed/toddler bed and a full size bed with either headboard or headboard and foot-board later on.

Thats exciting to get the crib ordered. We went in Babys R Us this weekend and fell in love looking at the cribs. I am in the same situation as well. Me and my boyfriend moved in with his mother back in February it has been a transition but we were able to save up on money and pay down bills. We were so fed up with our apartment community we were done. I think it could be a good thing, because now we have saved up to find somewhere better. Best of luck I dont think it will be to bad at all and you cant beat free daycare!!! Jealous.

Hopefully your crib arrives safely! As for mattresses, we just got the cheap one from WalMart and we like it just fine. We have one on my son's toddler bed, and one for the crib. We didn't use a wedge for T, but I'm thinking about trying one out with Brandt. I just don't know how well it will work since he will likely be in casts for the first 6-8 weeks.

As far as living with your husband's dad for awhile, it's not so bad. If it will help you guys out financially, then it's all the better.
