Progesterone dropping, trying to stay positive
By Gymnast36 » Posted Nov. 7, 2015 12:57am - 442 views - 2 comments

Went to the doctors yesterday to get my most recent blood test results. My HCG is great at 50 000 but my progesterone has dropped from 56 to 29 even though I am on the progesterone pessaries once a day. The doctor has told me to use two pessaries a day now and hopefully that will keep baby safe until the placenta can take over in the next couple of weeks. Trying to stay positive, right now I keep telling myself "I can and I will". I can have a successful pregnancy and I will.

Thank you! It's nice to know that it's happened to someone else and worked out :)

Try not to worry too much about the progesterone. My HCG kept going up beautifully in the beginning too but my progesterone kept dropping. My OB put me on progesterone supplements and I stayed on them until I was about 14 weeks, but everything worked out ok. He said if progesterone gets lower then 10 then it's time to worry, but 29 still sounds good. congrats on your pregnancy!
