Not feeling well 14 1/2 weeks

I hadn't vomited in the past two weeks, and was feeling pretty good. I am still gaggy all day every day, but had at least found that chewing gum helped me hold it down when I got to the point that I might vomit. Two nights ago, I started feeling really awful again. I kept from vomiting that night, but was miserable. Then last night right before bed, I had a violent vomiting. It felt like weeks 6-12 all over again. When I woke this morning before even getting to eat, I vomited bile three times (I had nothing left in my body from the night before to come up). The rest of today I was very tired, and very nauseous. I barely ate, and was under my daily pre-pregnancy calorie allowance by almost 700 calories. I feel like crap. My uterus has been contracting. It feels like a little cramp that tightens my uterus and makes it feel hard to the touch. Hopefully this is all nothing. I just don't remember all of this from my previous two pregnancies. If anyone is going through the same, please tell me! Also my spit is super bubbly, and it makes it hard to swallow sometimes. It also makes me gag when I do swallow. Ugh! Help!

I am feeling better. Still nauseous sometimes during the day, and every night. But I am down another pound.

Are you feeling better by now?

I always get sickest from 12-20 weeks, lost 10 lbs from 12-14 weeks this time. No real tips but to eat what you can (I often resort to nutrition shakes through the worst of it, I can usually get down an 8 oz shake and keep it down, assured that I got in some calories and protein), and try not to worry about intake too much. My doctor has always been clear that baby gets what it needs even if it has to steal it from you, so don't let that worry make things worse. Feel better soon!

I keep trying to drink water. But after a half of a glass I feel nauseous. It's so ridiculous. I force myself to drink, but I know I'm not getting as much as I should. But I'll keep trying. One 16oz glass of water down for the day, with another next to me I'm trying to drink. Ugh. Thanks for the advice. My doula had me buy liquid Chlorophyll, which I have yet to try. She said that will help me stay hydrated and get more oxygen into my blood. Maybe I'll try tonight. She said it tastes best in lime aid.

Ugh...I went through that when I was preggo with DD! Definitely talk to your doc about it..they might have recommendations for you. One thing they told me was to keep hydrated. Even mild dehydration can cause some cramping. One thing that I worked for me was watered down Gatorade. I would put a little bit in a cup and then would fill the rest of my cup with water and then would use a straw to drink. Grape worked best for me. I know it sounds like a weird thing but it really helped me stay hydrated when I couldn't stop vomiting. I then was able to keep food down . good luck! :)
