Q: would newborn clothes fit a 9lb baby?

My baby is estimated to be 8-9lbs. I know the weight might be off after he's born. But I was just wondering if newborn clothes would fit a 9lb baby. I didn't buy much newborn because I know he will be growing out of them fast. I mostly have 0-3 months. Thanks in advance ladies. :)

Newborn may or may not fit a 9lb baby it depends on the brand of clothes and how they baby's weight is distributed. I would take both newborn and 3 month clothes to the hospital.
