Q: i and my partner are trying for a baby but I'm having trouble getting pregnant

I just turn 33 and I and my partner who is 36 are having trouble trying to get pregnant i had my last period on 23/03/2013 my doctor told me i will ovulate between 30/03/2013 to 07/04/2013 i & my partner had sex around that time frame i just found out i got my period we been trying 4 around 4 to 5 mouths i have a 6 year old girl from a past boyfriend.i had my daughter when i was 26 i had know idea i was pregnant with her until i found out at 7 weeks it was a very nice surprise i & my ex boyfriend was not trying for a baby at the time so y is it so hard for me to get pregnant now & should i try a ovulate kit to find out when I'm ovulating also I'm overweight i was overweight when i was pregnant with my daughter i had a good pregnancy she was born healthy at 42 week she was 15 days over due.will i ever have a 2nd baby i would so much love to be a mum again for a 2nd time.
