And Mrs.Mom, question...if u would "take marijuana over prescription drugs ANY day" and ur doctor is "completely fine" with it, then why didn't u go outside and have a small toot for pain relief instead of getting an epidural? Surely u realize an epi is a prescription medication, with side effects.

Idk, I just find it interesting how much u preach that chemicals and prescription medications are sooooo bad, they have side effects, dont take them, ur all brainwashed, blah blah...yet its the first thing u turn to when in pain. Hypocrite.

I was severely sick for the first six months of my pregnancy. I went days without eating at all. Or Id' eat a bowl of soup then vomit. I was also taking 4 anti sickness pills for pregnancy and they didn't work at all. A MINUTE amount of marijuana would help alleviate the sickness so you can eat. I ended up telling my doc I used it to help with the sickness because I was slightly worried and he said it's completely fine. That it does help with this. Of course I wasn't sitting there puffing an entire joint but I had one small toot when I needed to eat. I"d rather have a quick puff (only take ONE haul) so I can eat rather than take prescription drugs. Just my opinion and not one many share I know, but to me, this is safer than over the counter meds.

I honestly don't know why someone would recommend street drugs for someone who is asking a question about morning sickness. However, there are NATURAL, LEGAL, SAFE, things you can take that won't 1)harm your unborn child, 2)land you in jail, or 3)have social services knock on your door. I had horrendous morning sickness with my 1st. So much so that I ended up losing 30 lbs throughout the first 20 wks. I only gained 9 lbs of it back by the time I delivered. I didn't take prescription meds or illegal drugs but I did do this: peppermint tea, peppermint candies, water with lemon, ginger snap cookies (the real spicy ones with real ginger), Sea Bands (you wear them on your wrist & can buy them at Walgreens), pretzels, Sprite, ginger ale, toast, saltines. Also, eat what you can stomach and hold down. Remember to stay hydrated. That is VITAL, esp since it is summer. Do not let your stomach get too empty. I hope some of this info helps!

To provide you with some insight (or education). Here's a link regarding Zofran. Which is REGULARLY prescribed to pregnant woman as being safe to treat nausea/vomiting in pregnant women.

http://www.fertilitycenter.com/fertility_cares_blog/fda-warns-against-zofran-use-in-pregnancy/

FDA approves. Then years later WARNS. Do the research yourself and know what is safe during pregnancy. I would take marijuana over prescription drugs ANY day.

I would not recommend using street drugs to help, NOT that you were going to as it sounds completely silly!! I just disagree!! There are a lot of things that can happen to your baby from smoking it while pregnant, and people always think as I know a lot of people that have smoked marijuana while pregnant (which I think is disgusting) and think "my baby was born fine and healthy" because of their appearance at birth and the fact that they look normal. It's not about that, the main problems are wdevelopmental delays and behavioral problems like ADD and ADHD, which obviously don't show up until later when your child is trying to learn!! It causes problems to the brain which are not visible when baby is born but are later on in life. A lot of young people think now a days that because their child appears fine that they are okay and the marijuana they smoked during pregnancy did nothing to their baby, which they tell other young people who also will smoke it thinking that it has n

My doctor recommended natural herbs ( smoking ) said they don't condone it but it does help. I say it keeps the cancer away also. I am now pregnant with my 2rd child. My other two kids were normal healthy babies who are now 15 and 5 . I say to each her own. We all have different beliefs and opinions on the situation. Soon it will be legal in all states.

I'm not against medicine. An epidural is hardly a "prescription drug". I do believe chemical medicine has its place in society as does cannabis. I'm not some hippy pot head here to preach. I offered a natural way to reduce your pain that is 100% effective. A small study was done with pregnant women who volunteered to try cannabis as relief for pain/vomitting and 92% said it was very effective and needed further study. But our government is so against it that they don't fund these studies. I'm saying we need to change the way we've been TAUGHT to think about Cannabis. It has a place in society and can actually be beneficial for things like cancer patients receiving chemo and AIDS victims and so much more if we could just stop thinking the way Regan told us to.

There are NO studies that can definitively say what causes ADD or ADHD in children and certainly NONE that will tell you it can happen in the whom. I'm educated on this topic and therefore won't waste my time on someone who believes everything they hear on ABC news with Diane Sawyer each night. Most of the reports given to us on the news are baseless and have no validity. They don't provide a long enough research period nor do they cover enough of the population. I smoked only early on in my pregnancy. So drug testing would have come up neg for this mama. It is fine in the early months when lungs have yet to develop. Here's something interesting for you Jessic0319. Zofran is also linked to ADD in children and has NOT been proven safe. They just haven't found that it is linked (yet) to any health concerns in pregnant women. Zofran is a chemical and a medication.

Anyhow, I get that the uneducated mind can't rap their head around the idea Cannabis isn't just a
