Q: How long did you wait to have sex aftert delivering ?

I am just about 4 weeks postpartum. Bleeding stopped at around 2 weeks and I'm eager to be active again due to not having much sex during pregnancy. I'm concerned that I will be too loose for him ... I had a few first degree tears inside the labia and they were so minimal they almost didn't stitch them but they did for cosmetic reasons. From what I can see there is only a little part of one of the stitches left. I don't have any pain or bleeding or anything like that. I just want some opinions.

That's a good idea maybe talking to my doctor would help him realize it's okay to have sex before the 6 week mark!

Princess, I can relate to being the one in the relationship with the higher sex drive. Trust me. I. Get. It. As far as if it's safe or not, call up your doc. I have never had a vaginal birth, but with c sections we get the same generic council to wait 6 weeks. I asked my doctor about it, because I too felt pretty much normal after a couple weeks, and he told me to take it very slow, and let my body decide. It I felt ANY pain, stop and try again in a few days. Don't feel ashamed because you have a need to be with your partner sooner than 6 weeks. But please do talk to your doc first, and I would HIGHLY recommend going on the mini pill. :) Happy sex!

Honey you need to wait until your six week check up. Let your body heal, especially if you had stitches. Worried your going to lose your partner? He is not much of a partner if he would walk out due to no sex..... There are other things you can do together.
