I'm 35 weeks and plan on having my son circumcised as soon as possible. For two main reasons, for one- it is a little more hygienic. And for two- at least where I'm from circumcision is considered "normal" and a penis that is uncircumcised is considered "abnormal".
I live in America and I remember being in high school and boys would make fun of other boys for having a weird penis (uncircumcised). I also remember some of my girlfriends made fun of guys who still had their foreskin. I know that is wrong but that is how the world works in some places.
Personally and from conversations with my girlfriends, a LOT of girls find uncircumcised penises unattractive and funny looking. I don't go around asking men what kind of penis they have so I only know one person who isn't circumcised and I only know that because he dated my friend and he told her he felt like less of a man because he still had his "baby penis". It is your choice but where I'm from circumcisio

wow im amazed how many posts are FOR circumcision. i dont see why an adolescent wouldnt be able to clean his penis, unless hes not taught cleanliness. there is NO NEED for a mother to pull back their infants or their childs foreskin to clean it, as it is still attached until 3 years or so. the urine does a good job of disinfecting the area. cleaning the penis is not an issue until the foreskin opens up and allows space to pull it back off the penis, at which time ur son can be taught how to clean it. my husband is not amputated and has never had a problem with his penis due to good hygiene. if u teach ur son to wear condoms there wont be an issue with STD's either. these posts are rediculous. i would NEVER hurt my infant just for him to look better. insane. things need to change...and people way of thinking needs to change!!!!

Im in the UK and this is not something done here and to be honest it turns my stomach a little - My boy was born seven weeks ago and no way on Gods earth would I allow anyone to cut him, especially there. Surely it should be their decision when thy grow?
I will add though that my opinion is based on my own feelings and actually i have never understood the reasons behind circumcision.
