Q: question about home pregnancy tests-just curious.

Hi ladies-just curious. I'm about 7 weeks pregnant (definitely pregnant - confirmed by ultra sound, heard and saw the heartbeat--was very strong!) I had one more home pregnancy test at home, and decided to take it. The second line is still lighter than the control line (as it was when I got my bfp). It's not super faint, but it's definitely lighter than the control line. I know I'm crazy for testing again...and shouldn't have even done it, because now I'm concerned that there is something wrong.I realize this is partially due to my previous miscariage at 5 weeks *(with no heartbeat or sac dectected on the u/s)..but I'm wondering because I've looked online a bit, and it seems like once you're 1-2 months into the pregnancy, hpts can come back negative...so I'm just curious if anyone else has done this, or if they have gotten negative results.

Thanks, Ladies, you made me feel ALOT better about the darkness of the second line. I guess I'm just a nervous nelly about this. Thank you, thank you! xo

no it will be lighter coz apparantly once you are far along in your pregnancy the large amount of hcg can actually cause a false negative!

The darkness of the line doesn't matter. As long as there's a line it's positive. No need to worry :)

the darkness of the line also depends on how much dye is in the test to begin with. As long as it's still positive it's all good.

Don't let the "darkness" of the line concern you. Unless you are having symptoms that could indicate a problem, everything is fine (a lot of times it depends on the test you are taking). HCG lowers slightly in your 2nd trimester but you should still register a + on any hpts. As long as you still have a + and no negative symptoms don't freak out:-)
