Q: Just curious if anyone else has had this happen? 12 week appt, retroverted uterus, no HB on doppler

Hi everyone, I'm not too concerned because I had an ultrasound the day before my appt and saw a good healthy hearbeat, but i was a little dissappointed because I really wanted to hear it. I'm 12 weeks & 4 days today and when I went in yesterday for my appointment the doctor tried for like 5 minutes to find it on the doppler and then gave up. I know that this can still be too early to find one, especially since I have a tilted uterus, so I'm going in in two weeks to try again. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this happen? thanks.

I have a tilted uterus as well.. and I honestly thought for sure that my ob would not be able to find a heartbeat a few days ago.. to my surprise she did after a minute of searching. I was fully expecting to hear nothing because of the tilted uterus. A tilted uterus will usually start to resolve and tip upright after 12 weeks.. sometimes later. Eventually it will be found a lot easier. :)
