At 12 weeks 4 days I was advised that the 'educated guess' is that we're having a girl. Apparently they can be 65% accurate (very close to 50/50) with determining the sex by the angle of the nub. I don't know the exact degrees, but if it's pointing downwards (towards the feet), it's more likely to continue to do downwards and end up as a little girl. I have my 20 week scan in a week and will keep you updated!

oh haha i responded in the september baby thread too. Its ok if you get too behind you don't have to respond to everyone! just pop on every once in a while to vent, tell us how your doing, feeling etc.. I think your not the only one that is way behind that now does not post.. we have a bunch of people posting and lost almost all of them in the last 2 or 3 weeks. I just always worry about the other mama's just want to make sure there absence is not because of something serious. :)

kniclole: I was on the September baby thread, but I get so behind I quit posting, but still keep up with most of you!! I hope that you are doing well, I seen that you are moving soon! We are moving also, but only a few miles away so its not nearly as stressful...however we are also getting married in April which adds more stress! HA!

Idk about the nub theory. I know that some doctors do say that each gender has a nub at this stage, however from the research I have done I have found the sex organs are present ... as seen in a video here at around 11 weeks: http://www.ehd.org/movies.php?mov_id=63
I know that no ultrasound is 100% accurate but I will say that from what I have seen or noticed if this stage 12-14 weeks if it is found there is a nub present or a dangly part.. most the time. Not all the time but most the time when the gender scan is done at 18-20 it is confirmed at that time usually the gender being a male. However like any u/s tech or doctor will tell you don't go out and start buying a bunch of boy or girl clothes and furnishings this early but it is kind of nice to have an inkling. :) btw.. I am also due September 15th. :)

I haven't heard of the nub theory? We are due a day apart! I'll get to go in at 13 weeks due to my doc being on vacation this week.
