Q: Contractions visible on ultrasound at 12 weeks

I was wondering if anyone else has had this happen. I was having the 12 week scan yesterday, i was 12wk 6days. and the ultrasound man said i was having a contraction making the uterus smaller and so baby couldnt move into a good position for viewing. I couldnt feel a thing, he said its normal and we have them all the time but dont know about it till later on when they become brackston hicks.. Iam still nervous, wondering if anyone else has been told this?

Yeah! I am 11wks + and I can feel the tightening too! This is my second pregnancy and I can't remember getting them so early with my boy, but I guess it's different with the second pregnancy. Clever stuff.

Very cool! I would not worry, that is a really neat thing that they can see that. This is my third pregnancy and I have been feeling Braxton hicks since six weeks. I was concerned, and then found out that it is completely normal. If they had any concern, they would have to look into it and tell you. Neat how our bodies get ready for labor from the beginning!
