Thank you:-) I had a follow-up ultrasound this week (she was moving too much during the anatomy scan to get a good look at her heart so they wanted to check again...everything's fine). I found out that I do have an anterior placenta, so that's even more cushion for her little kicks. That could be part of the problem too:-)

I felt mines at 17 weeks and it felt like going over a bump in the road in the car. weirdest feeling ever. Now it is poking pressure crampy feelings. You will know its her when you start feeling it everyday. My baby likes riding in the car...

it felt like gas bubbles popping for me at first. Never felt "flutters".

I am also overweight. I wasn't sure at first either...I didn't feel her strongly until around 22 weeks. It did feel like the beginning of a gas pain but then no pain...just that fullish feeling in one spot of my stomach/uterus. I'm 29 weeks and now, she's doing karate. *Luck and prayers*

Thanks ladies:-) I hope it is her little movements! It's tough and a little frustrating when you don't know what to expect:-/ I'm sure soon enough she'll be jabbing and kicking me like she seems to do on ultrasounds (and there will be no doubts!!) LOL

I never felt butterflies either... my DD's first movements, in retrospect, felt more like gas -- light gas moving at that. Then it was kind of that popcorn sensation. I'd feel an ever so slight pop here and there.... then as the weeks progressed the feelings became more noticeable.

It sounds like its her little movement your feeling! I honestly didn't feel my baby move this time until around 20-21 weeks. It was definite movements like a little jab here or a little kick there. I don't remember feeling 'fluttering' I remember the doctor asking me if I was feeling the 'butterflies' movement, and to be honest I never did :p
