Q: Bumped my Bump

I was getting a cookie for my dog last night and bumped my baby bump on the door knob to the pantry. Well it was more of a scrape. I don't have any bleeding or cramping, but where I hit it sore. I read in my what to expect book that I would have to be in pretty serious condition in order for baby to get hurt and they are surrounded by fluids and tough membrane, but of course this being my first I still worry. Has anyone else done this? Should I call my doctor?

Your baby is still tiny at 16 weeks so I wouldn't worry. The tenderness is also to be expected. After having my 20 week scan and having the ultrasound scanner dug into my belly and groin I was tender for a fair few days afterwards. Just b careful in future. I'm always bumping into things as I haven't quite mastered the protruding belly yet, lol!

How far along are you? Honestly for something like that I wouldnt be to worried. With my first I slipped on ice three times. She is a perfect healthy 10 month old. If you start spotting or cramping then I would call.
