Q: Quad Screening- Bloodwork Results

Anyone else do the bloodwork during the 15-18 weeks? I can't remember what they call it. I am just wondering because mine came back adnormal and I wanted to understand more of the paperwork. Like how low my levels were and so on. I have a 1/23 risk for T18 so very very scared. Any thoughts are gladly welcomed! We had an ultrasound at 17w2d and doctor said baby looked fine so leaning on this till Monday for when we do the big scan at 18w.

I haven't had mine yet, I get it next week. But I looked it up online. From what I understand the test can give ALOT of false positives. Hince the reason for further testing such as an amniocentesis. I wouldn't worry on it too much, more than likely your baby is perfectly healthy! More women get false positives. I have already decided based on that information that if mine comes back abnormal I will not have further testing done, other than an ultrasound. On the other hand, IF it is true, don't freak out on that either. I had a close friend who's little girl was born with Tris 18 and she is the sweetest thing you'd ever meet!

Yes I have an appt for an antamony scan and possible amino on Monday. It is with a specialist. I'm trying to relax and just put it in God's hands until then. I just hope that the mini ultrasound my doctor did Wednesday saying everything looks good is what we'll hear on Monday. Its our first so we are so nervous. I've heard a lot of people don't do this because they think its unnecessary. I can understand but what if, that's what went through my mind. Plus you don't except to get a result like this.

I had it done (I forgot the name too). Mine came back normal. I almost didn't do it because I have read that the screen can produce a lot of false positives. So, hopefully it will end up that you have nothing to worry about. If the baby is looking healthy on u/s, try not to worry too much. Do you have to see a specialist now or do more tests?
