I've been using old school Happy Event mixed with some bio-oil since the very beginning.
No stretch marks yet (30th week) although I have 2 friends whose marks only showed at the very end..
I'm still holding thumbs though!! :)

I use the Palmer's too but.. I think it really depends on genetics more than anything. If the women in your family have stretch marks.. your probably going to have em. My mom had zero stretch marks through two pregnancies.. hoping I take after her! fx! we'll see. lol.

Nothing is going to prevent. I used Palmers coca butter with my first pregnancy, and didnt get stretch marks till 33 wks and I was huge. There are other lotions out there (including palmers) that helps improve the appearence.

I use palmers cocoa butter for stretch marks. But nothing really prevents them. I think it helps a tad

I got screwed then lol. My mom or sister didn't get any. I was the only one to get them, but they aren't bad.

Thanks, ladies! This is pretty much what I expected... but a girl can hope, right? ;) My mom doesn't have too many stretchmarks, I'm more concerned that I am VERY small chested and am afraid I'll get pretty bad stretchmarks on my breasts. :(

You can't prevent stretch marks, though it feels nice to moisturize that dry stretched skin to be moisturized and rubbed :) stretch marks are more genetic than anything since it's the ability of the skin and tissue to accommodate the required quick growth of your stomache, legs, bum and boobs. You can drink lots of water since keeping hydrated helps keep skin more elastic but pregnancy weight gain and those pesky genes will prevail. I had no stretch marks during pregnancy, my hubby and I checked but after giving birth i suddenly had a few on my legs and lower belly. Its no biggy, 90% of women get them while pregnant, they fade into little silvery white lines that are barely visible so don't stress, enjoy your pregnancy and those pesky stretchmark badges of honor :D best wishes
