Q: Should I be worried?

This is first baby. I just fell on the stairs, hurt my knee, upper back and hip slightly. I don't have any cramping or anything like that. I am 18 weeks tomorrow, should I be concerned about the baby or is the baby pretty protected?

I read in my what to expect book you would have to get pretty seriously injured in order for baby to be hurt, like in a bad car accident getting hit at 60mph. I smashed my belly off a door knob one day pretty bad my belly really hurt for days. Baby was just fine :) hope this helps

Baby is still very small at that stage and is well cushioned and protected and if you didn't directly hit our belly then you should be ok. Just remember as your pregnancy progresses your centre of gravity shifts and you do become more clumsy so please be careful :) put your feet up and rest today!

Baby is still well protected. Now if you would have hit your belly when you fell I would be telling you to get to the ER. But just keep monitoring yourself. If you start cramping or spotting call your dr. Hope everything is ok
