I love brewed tea also, but I prefer it cold. I found a tea called Tea-for-two, it actually has pregnancy benefits and tastes great too. Helps with morning sickness. It is a loose leaf tea, which I adore. I like to add some fresh orange peel in while steeping. After birth I will be drinking the nursing tea :)

Ok I'm not like everyone else apparently, I have ALWAYS loved sweet tea, and down here in NC we have the best tea around. We use 4 or 5 bags of tea (the family size ones), and a cup and a half of sugar. Always have, even while trying to get pregnant. I got pregnant on the first try, I have had little complications (none due to drinking tea), I'm drinking a cup right now as we speak, and it's the main thing I drink. I am not dehydrated, haven't been. I'm loosing weight instead of gaining but I'm a big girl and my uterus and baby are growing appropriately. I am currently 21 weeks along, I say go for it, drink your tea! I have a medical background and I can tell you that most of the things that cause things to go wrong in a pregnancy can also occur even you are going by the book every step of the way.

I'm a bit of a tea-oholic as well. I've switched to mint tea for the time being as it's caffeine-free, safe according to my doc and dr. google, and also helps to settle my stomach. I was drinking green tea before, which I still do a bit, but it's more about the warm drink and less about the flavour for me.

just make it decaff.. you are allowed about 2 cups of caffiene per day while pregnant. When I was ttc I switched to decaff and that was the month I got pregnant. It could have been just a coincidence but I have read other people who have quit caffiene and got pregnant too.

If you don't like decaff tea then use 2 bags (thats what I do)... there still is a minimal amount of caffiene in decaff products but im sure its not enough to harm anything. Or you could just enjoy your one cup of tea daily and just don't allow yourself anymore than that. good luck!

Yeah that's a good idea. Although I drink a lot of tea I also do drink a lot of water already so I'll be fine. The coffee at work is decaf and I never notice the difference in taste with that but I struggle to drink decaf tea - its just not right!! Maybe I'll get the half caf first. It's funny how during the two week wait we're all come on bfp! And still when we've got the result we want we still never rest and stop analysing everything!!

Lol yeah, I just carry decaf tea bags with me just in case, you get used to decaf coffee too,but they still have traces of caffiene but it is less than 1 mg per cup so you would have to drink a lot! I used to carry little individual packs of decaf instant coffee too lol, man I am bad lol. i would watch the fruit juice, its a lot of calories, try mixing like a 1/4c of juice with 1 cup or more of club soda to make sparkling juice, less calories, and you mix to taste plus it seems like a treat :)

I am a coffee and tea addict too, you do have to be careful since they contain caffeine, so try to stick to decaf tea or herbal teas that naturally contain no caffiene. I highly recommend red rasp leaf tea is is great for pregnancy
http://www.americanpregnancy.org/pregnancyhealth/herbaltea.html

They know caffeine passes through to baby and that baby cannot metabolize it like we can, they also are not sure how much is safe so try to make tour consumption as little as possible. They di have a recommendation of no more than 200mg per day or you increase Rick of miscarriage etc. Beware some herbal teas though, if in doubt look up the ingredients in a pregnancy herbal database. Good luck and glad to see someone shares my pain lol :)
