I cried my eyes out when I found out I was having another girl. I had a little boy but lost him at 18wks and I guess I felt a little owed. Kinda feel like God killed my little boy twice. I am happy to have a healthy baby but I am still struggling to get excited and buy anything. When I left the anatomy scan woman probably thought I got horrible news. Don't feel bad, I have found that everyone secretly feels a little down about have the same sex child. So far every friend I have that is having their second child is having the same sex as the previous and all have expressed their disappointment.

I went through the same thing last week. I had my heart set on a lil girl but when the nurse and doctor said boy I was very disappointed. Now I'm exciited about my lil man. This is my first so hopefully next round it will be a girl. Good luck and thank god we both have two healthy baby boys growing inside of us.

I was told since my first scan at 13 wks that it was a boy. I mean everyone told me it was a boy so I had my hopes up. Well I woke up the day before my scan and just knew that it was another girl. Needless to say I was sad at first, but felt so much better about it when I saw her and saw that there was nothing wrong with her.

I don't yet know the sex (still too early for that), but what you're feeling is completely normal - one of my best friends went through this last year. It's okay to feel sad and nothing to feel guilty about: you had dreamed about what it would be like to have a little girl and now have found out those dreams won't come true. Take a few days to feel sad, but try not to dwell on it. Soon enough you'll be feeling more upbeat! *hugs*

I originally hoped for a boy - my husband's WHOLE family was "sure" it's going to be boy and they had me so hyped up about it that I was INITIALLY dissapointed to find out it's a girl (confirmed 4 times again LOL)..
I'm not sure when it happened but if I was to hear that NOW it's a boy I would be dissapointed as I have spent time picturing and thinking about my baby girl.
Now I only want her...
It's normal and okay to feel dissapointed.. I'm sure it won't last though! Think of all the good times you've had with your boy when he was a baby!
My husband still can't walk past the boys'toys aisle but I told him no one said our girl can't also play trains with him! :)
Hope you feel better soon!!
