I got a lot from my first child, having gained 80 pounds with him, but they faded a lot as i tanned and used scar cream. With this pregnancy i have gained much much less weight and i seem to be stretching at the exact same spots as the first ones. For some reason, they have never bothered me. Its not like i'm the only one with them or to ever have them. No one saw me in my bikini every year after i had my son and said, eww...look at her stretch marks! No...they saw the big headed, wide shouldered, overly large child with me and thought, why doesn't she have more?! lol. Your not the only one with them, your not the only one thats going through it. Just know, they are not in any way ugly. I don't care how bad they are. You shouldn't be upset by them either...they are TOTALLY worth it. I love every single mark left by my beautiful first son and i will love them this second time around too. Enjoy your pregnancy and don't worry. Its not worth it.

I'm too early on to be experiencing these yet, but I have tons from old growth spurts when I was young, mostly on my lower back and hips. I figure it'll be brutal for me when I get that far :/

My mum didn't get any either, even after 3 kids! I have some on my hips and breasts and I haven't even grown that much :(. I can feel my skin stretching too! Oil, cocoa butter, vitamin e cream and genetics have failed me! Lol

I totally agree..stretch marks suck...i try to think of them as mommy battle scars that should be treated like badges of honor. Since 90% of women get them during pregnancy try not to stress to much..you are not alone.....where is an airbrush when you need it! :D
