My first appointment was just getting all my information. Explaining tests I can have done during my pregnancy, going over my previous medical history , and all that stuff.

My first app was about 45 minutes and was literally just answering what felt like a million and one questions. I didn't have any tests done at all. Just got given loads of info!

thanks, and i'm from Kent, looking forward to my first appointment, everything is just becoming so much more real now, also my midwife said that at my appt she's going to try and arrange for me to have m scan at around 9 weeks!! i'm thinking she wants it done that early because i'm epileptic, but not sure, dont mind, just means i get to see my little bean on the screen sooner. currently 7 weeks 2 days

It's a very long appointment so be prepared. They will go over your history, family history, pelvic exam, what you can expect, what you can eat and can not eat, what medications you can take, what testing they are going to do (blood work) Good luck and congratulations. :)
