Q: Telling public at 11 weeks?

I'm 10w2d, we saw the heartbeat (171 bpm!) and sweet little baby at 8w3d. I go back in in 2 days (10w4d) to hear the heartbeat again. Do you think (as long as everything's fine on Thursday) that it would be okay to let my pregnancy be public?

Its whatever you feel more comftorable with. MY first pregnancy i was so excited and told everyone at 10 weeks especially since everything was wonderful so far. But at almost 11 weeks i lost the baby and it was beyond hard to let everyone know that i lost my baby. i had people for a few months after still asking me about the baby and sex. with this pregnancy my fiance and i didnt tell anyone until we were almost 15 weeks and verified everything was ok several times.

Do whatever you feel is right for you. I should only be 4w ?d since I haven't actually had my first doc. appointment yet. I told family and a few close friends at first. But then decided to tell everyone because I know some of them will blab and we wanted to be the ones who told everyone else.

I went to the dr today and he asked if I've felt any movement...I was so glad to hear that it is possible and that I'm not nuts!! Lol
Have fun telling people!! And congrats to you as well :0)

Thanks everyone for your answers, I think we will tell people if all goes well on Thursday!
So Happy- It's crazy that you ask that, because I just wrote a journal entry about the butterflies I feel. I know deep down that it's the baby, I've never had gas that feels that way ever in my life. I'm reluctant to tell anyone that though, because they are a lot of bubble-bursters out there who just want to spoil your happiness. Congratulations, by the way!!

Hi jkg...we have the same due date :0) I've told a few close people but have chosen to keep it hush from everyone else until we pass the first trimester. Whatever you feel comfortable with you should do ;0)
Curious...have you felt any fluttering?

Absolutely! :) I plan on making my pregnancy public after our first doctors appointment/ultrasound if everything is good with baby. I will be 10 weeks by that point. Congratulations!
