So i am happy again and just cuz my doc said i should be 8 weeks well 8 weeks ago i had my period. Well i am going to see where things go to from here and decided weather or not to switch docs

Rk- try not to worry yet. I had missed mc in November as well and I am now 26 weeks pregnant, so I know how you are feeling. When I was pregnant this time around and went in for my 1st u/s, they told me I was measuring over a week smaller than I was supposed to be. Of course, after already having 1 m/c, I was worried. They told me to come back in 2 weeks for another u/s and we would know for sure then b/c I should measure 2 weeks bigger. When I went back, I measured bigger than 2 weeks...measure where I would have been based on my period. The tech told me that early u/s's can be off the mark b/c everything is so small. I would make another u/s for a week or so and if you aren't happy with your dr., switch! Good luck girlie!

Thanks im just upset that my doc only did an ultrasound for 2 min and dismissed me and made me think the worst... Maybe time for a new doc? I was happy to hear the hcg results this morning the nurse reassured me and made me feel better she said that they would be low if something was wrong so all i can do is try to stay positive.

RK, Thinking about you today and hoping everythign works out. I know when I had my first U/S they changed my time frame. I was supposed to be 7w 2d and was actually 6w 4d. I know that sometimes the heartbeat is hard to see at that time frame. With my first we couldn't see it and the second we could so its a toss up at 6 weeks.

Sometimes when ultrasounds are done that early the heartbeat is unable to be heard..its just to early in the pregnancy for some women..I had an ultrasound at 10 wks & the heartbeat was very clear,so maybe it just takes time...I wish you all the best

I don't want to be negative or upset you but the same thing happened to my friend and sadly the baby had died at 6 weeks but she didn't know because she had a "missed miscarriage".

My first ultrasound was at 8 weeks and the heart beat was very loud and clear and we saw movement. ( But I had a vaginal ultrasound so that could be why )

I wish you all the best !
