I think it really matters on your body type too. I already had enough for the baby to take from me I guess! I was down 5lbs from my original weight till I was 24 weeks and I finally have gained 1lb. My doctor was thrilled because she said its harder on your body to gain weight and my baby girl was measuring great too. I know at my 28 week appt I will see more of a gain. I have eatten whatever I want to, which isn't much from my original diet but I do include more fruits and veges and water. As long as baby grows your body can do whatever it wants!

This definitely eases my mind. Not that I'm complaining about not gaining anything ;) but I just wanted to make sure. I know that she's growing. I started pre-term contractions about 5 weeks ago so I've been to the doctor at least once every week since then, and I've had 3 ultrasounds, with the u/s she's measuring right on time, and when my dr uses her tape measure on my belly, I've measured at least 1-3 weeks bigger than what I am. Thanks for the advice girls :)

I'm 34wks and I've hardly gained any weight. When I was 26wks I had only gained about 6 pounds as well. My doctors kept saying I need a growth ultrasound to make sure my baby wasn't small. I got my growth ultrasound at 32wks and my son is right on track. I am gaining the most weight in my third trimester. Every pregnancy is different. My mom gained 11lbs while pregnant with me and I weighed 5 (I was born a month before her due date). I had a friend who gained 70lbs and her baby also weighed 5lbs and she was full term. Try not to stress it too much. All you can do is make sure you are eating enough.

Yes, with my daughter I lost weight every single visit, I was worried, but the Dr said as long as she was getting bigger for me not to worry. I lost 17 lbs the entire pregnancy and as soon as I had her I lost another 30! I ate like a pig, but never gained an ounce...but my daughter came at 39 weeks and 1 day and still weighed 8lbs 1oz!
My other 3 babies were all boys...I was just the opposite with them, I was sick all the time and still gained a ton 81lbs, 41lbs, and 49lbs! Every woman is different as well as every pregnancy. So far this pregnancy I have gained nothing and havent been sick at all and feel like I'm having a girl :)

I'm having the same problem myself. Last week at my 25 week appointment my total weight gain this pregnancy was only 2 lbs. I would gain weight one appointment and then the next I'd lose it all it's been like that for me from the beginning. 1st trimester I understood with the m/s, but now that I can actually eat still not gaining. My doctor at first asked me if I was dieting(I wasn't) and then last week he really didn't say much about it just said total pregnancy weight so far was 2 lbs. U/S at 22 weeks everything looked good.
A friend who recently had a baby had only gained 10 lbs by time she delivered and when she was around 30 weeks she said she had only gained like 5 lbs, but anyways her son turned out just fine.
